¡Aye carumba!
You may be out for cheer, but none of that 20 jumps per quarter like
last year! :(
¡Mi bebĂ© pobre, me siento tan apesadumbrado para usted!

But I look forward to whatever you can give- which I know is LOUD and proud!

To: Everybody

Hmmm, so how are Kensie's knees? I talked to Kassi at the Crawford Co. Fair a couple weeks ago, she has a new job at Cronk's and thinks she'll skip football season and come out for basketball again. Hmmm. Anyone hear from Christine? Kinda sounds like we'll just have the same 4 as last year for FB, only... even less jumps and stunts. Cest la vie.

So try to remember and practice as many chants as you can and start thinking of ideas for Homecoming. Se ya in JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS!!! MwuHaHAHAHA (menacing mad scientist laugh)!!!

Love y'all,
Coach

Have your cake? Or eat two?

Do not cheat on this one, go with the first dessert you picked..

If all of the desserts listed below were sitting in front of you, which would you choose (sorry, you can only pick one!) Trust me....this is very accurate.
Pick your dessert, and then look to see what psychiatrists think about you.

Here are your choices:

1. Angel Food Cake

2. Brownies

3. Lemon Meringue

4. Vanilla Cake With Chocolate Icing

5. Strawberry Short Cake

6. Chocolate on Chocolate

7. Ice Cream

8. Carrot Cake

No, you can't change your mind once you scroll down, so think carefully what your choice will be..............

OK - Now that you've made your choice this is what the research says about you...

SCROLL DOWN---No Cheating

1. ANGEL FOOD CAKE -- Sweet, loving, cuddly. You love all warm and fuzzy items. A little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice cream cone at the end of the day. Others perceive you as being childlike and immature at times.

2. BROWNIES -- You are adventurous, love new ideas, and are a champion of underdogs and a slayer of dragons. When tempers flare up you whip out your saber. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of humor and direction. You tend to be very loyal.

3 LEMON MERINGUE -- Smooth, sexy, & articulate with your hands, you are an excellent after-dinner speaker and a good teacher. But don't try to walk and chew gum at the same time. A bit of a diva at times, but you have many friends.

4. VANILLA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING -- Fun-loving, sassy, humorous, not very grounded in life; can be indecisive and lack motivation. Everyone enjoys being around you, but you are a practical joker. Others should be cautious in making you mad. However, you are a friend for life.

5. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE -- Romantic, warm, loving. You care about other people, can be counted on in a pinch and the same in return. Intuitively keen. Can be very emotional.

6. CHOCOLATE ON CHOCOLATE -- Sexy; always ready to give and receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. You can appear to have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to take chances. Will not settle for anything average in life. Love to laugh.

7. ICE CREAM -- You like sports, whether it be baseball, football, basketball, or soccer. If you could, you would like to participate, but you watching sports. You don't like to give up the remote control. You tend to be self-centered and high maintenance.

8. CARROT CAKE -- You are a very fun loving person, who likes to laugh. You are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you. You are a very warm hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many loyal friends.

Fun Fair pictures, beautiful Loess Hills pictures and more

I'm so excited about the pictures I've managed to capture this summer that I really want all my friends to see them at http://tmal.multiply.com
You won't just see amazing shots that i just took with my new camera, and really gorgeous stuff of the Loess Hills here in Western Iowa, but you'll notice that I keep my editorial cartoons and lots of other artwork there too- as well as great links, silly videos and recommendations for powerful books you'll want to read. I'm really sorry to send a "spam" like this instead of a real note- I'm just really excited to get people to see these pictures. I hope you'll enjoy them. FYI you don't have to join Multiply to see them, just to leave comments on them- but you can always just email those. Hope you like them. Thanks for visiting http://tmal.multiply.com

Two cool t-shirts I saw

I've tried to get yearbook kids to go for "Udder Chaos" as a yearbook theme for years now, but they always think that it's too "hick," like they're ashamed to come from a farming community in rural Iowa or something. The other t-shirt is just cool because it's anatomically correct. I once saw a greeting card that on the outside said " I ♥ You." Then on the inside it said "I've always hearted you." That cracked me up. But then, I have a pretty lame sense of humor.

See ya in about a month!
Love,
Coach

Women for Peace

Disclaimer: Remember that this blog is not an official website of Boyer Valley Community Schools, so all the opinions here are those of Coach Mallory and not of the BVCS Board, Administration, Faculty, Staff or other students or employees- Besides it's summer. Point is, if you're all for continuing the war in Iraq or totally support President Bush then please ignore the following blog post. I certainly support our troops and pray for their safety, but if like me, you've had about enough, here is a way that you can get involved-

Mission Statement:
CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities. We reject the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead calls for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor, CODEPINK women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence.

CODEPINK Call To Action

Our Call to You:

"We call on women around the world to rise up and oppose the war in Iraq. We call on mothers, grandmothers, sisters and daughters, on workers, students, teachers, healers, artists, writers, singers, poets, and every ordinary outraged woman willing to be outrageous for peace. Women have been the guardians of life-not because we are better or purer or more innately nurturing than men, but because the men have busied themselves making war. Because of our responsibility to the next generation, because of our own love for our families and communities and this country that we are a part of, we understand the love of a mother in Iraq for her children, and the driving desire of that child for life."—Starhawk

We need you to tell other women about CODEPINK!

Our leaders tell us we that we can easily afford hundreds of billions of dollars for this war. But in the United States of America, many of our elders who have worked hard all their lives now must choose whether to buy their prescription drugs or food. Our children's education is eroded. The air they breathe and the water they drink are polluted. Vast numbers of women and children live in poverty.

The ideal woman

Happy 4th of July weekend ladies,

Here's a little trivia for you. If you've ever worried about your looks, maybe this will give you some perspective-
The Statue of Liberty's fingernail is 13"x10" and her waist is 35 feet thick. Of course, if you've ever complained that your hair looks green after you've been swimming- she's got ya there too.

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self..."
~1 Peter 3:3-4a
