Fear

Rumors has it that tryouts are just too scary. One girl is scared that she'll be too busy next year durring football season, but she might be able to cheer for basketball. Another was just plain scared to perform in front of the tryout judges. Of course, she's afraid of cheering in front of the bigger high school crowds too anyway. And two other girls were too scared that one of them wouldn't make it and they wanted to be on cheer together.

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self discipline." ~2 Timothy 1:7

So... the good news is, I decided not to give in to fear of change. So, we just won't have tryouts. I'll go back to recruiting and hope that I get more than my core two to commit. I already have three "maybes." One of them is one of the two who skipped tryouts together. Wish us luck. Prayers are also appreciated! I'll let you know what happens.
