More old school

Here's Heather (AKA "Joey") one of my goddaughters as the lion mascot at a LA Lutheran Junior High game- another one of those beatup old yearbook prints that I had to scan- as you can tell, because that's Jeraldin (AKS "Jake") to her left with the big 'ol puddle of developer covering her face. Had to be like 1998 if they were Eighth graders.

Christina Rose, Jenn, "Red," and Iris made this and gave it to me after my first year at Boyer Valley (2001-02) They messed with scrap-booking scissors for the one below, so I messed with PhotoSHop for funky colors on the one above.

Here is the design I made up for this year's T-shirts. Pretty cool huh? I guess I was inspired by Sturgis. Most of the few girls we have like it too.

Well, school is just a few days away. I guess I'll make up posters to recruit candidates for this year. At least the Jr Hi end of the program is solid.

Here's our official group picture for this year. The girls didn't want to include our mascot, but I made sure he got in there.

BV VB Going to State!

Nov 2 Western Iowa prep volleyball results

I have to admit, I feel like my squad and I are really dropping the ball on this one. There are a couple of good luck posters up that other people made. We cheer at football, but not volleyball. THe other problem is that since we have a beautiful new school building, our administration has strictly prohibited locker decorations and posters on walls. We need to do better.

A couple of years ago we went to a VB game in uniform. We'd even researched VB chants online. We cheered at all the wrong times and were quite confused. VB players actually complained to us afterward. Last year we did make a run-through for them that we brought to Senior night.
