TEAR stands for Teens Experiencing Abusive Relationships. As an organization run by teens for teens, TEAR's goal is to prevent dating abuse through education. We work to educate society about the complexities and seriousness of violent dating relationships.

Teens need us because society gives teens the wrong idea about relationships! Teens are forced to believe that unhealthy relationships are the norm. Most of the relationships we see on TV, in the movies, and in magazines are not good role models for relationships, because they are either unrealistic or unhealthy relationships.

Teens need us because we are not born with the knowledge of what is right and wrong in a relationship, and with limited resources it is not easy to find out. We want to ensure information is readily available at your fingertips!

Teens need us to see that dating violence is a reality; and is a problem that teens everywhere need to take a stand against.
